Hello! There was quite silence around Emancypunx for a while. Not because of lazyness, but because of a crazy amount of work what had to be done. Sometimes it happen that activities and projects take so much time, that there not enough time left to inform about what is actually going on.
Right now don't have a webmaster and our website is rarely up to date. So until we solve that problem better check out our myspace profile. There are also links to current projects in which Emancypunx is involved.
But we hope that with that newsletter you'll get at least a short up-date. So here it goes:
We are happy to anounce that THE F.A./EVEN WORSE split LP is out !!
THE F.A./EVEN WORSE split LP
Full length split release between two great bands out of Germany. Both of them fit well with the best DIY oriented hardcore bands from Germany from the last few years like HIGHSCORE, DEAN DIRG, SHORT FUSE, THE TANGLED LINES or SHUT THE FUCK UP., THE F.A is coming from Giessen. Their debut vinyl release contains 6 songs of female fronted hardcore filled with fast tempos with breaks and some heavier parts. EVEN WORSE's newest release (after debut 7") brings 8 songs , mixing posi-old school HC energy, thrashy fast tempos (unlike DS-13) with some early 80's hcpunk and pissed off songs like "Deutschland verrecke", "Eat your fuckin face off" or "Myspace bores me to death". 100 copies out of first pressing are on limited white vinyl. LP release as a coproduction between Emancypunx Records with Prugelprinz Records and Crucificados Pelo Sistema Records.

Bands:
THE RAZORBURNS – the band had some line-up changes: Squeaky, who is playing also in Fabulous Disaster left. Even Razorburns are now a tree piece band they are active and play many shows.
TRUST – Unfortunately Trust had to cancel their european tour this year. They plan to come next year with a tour and new release. Berenice from Trust moved to Spain and plays in a new band together with Elena from Drama: Born To Hate.
BEYOND PINK – recorded a new 7”ep and works now on the artwork. The ep will be released on Emancypunx. co-released with Contraszt Records from Germany.
DAISY CHAIN – The tour of Daisy Chain and Party Weirdo in Poland and Lituania organised by Emancypunx Records turned out to be quite good. The band recorded a new LP which will be released on Tofu Guerilla Records.
Upcoming releases for 2007:
BRUISE VIOLET 7”EP – Take a breath: this band will smash your head!!! Their 7”EP will be out next month so keep your eyes and ears open! Raging all-girl political hc/punk from LA.
ALL OR NOTHING LP – Thanks to the invitation of our dear friend Renae from On The Rag Records/AON Emancypunx takes part in the LP release of the great U.S. hardcore band All Or Nothing. The LP will be out for their european tour in january. The tour goes trough germany, Denmark, Poland and Czech Republic.

U.F.A – Finally we were able to fullfill a dream. U.F.A. Trough many efforts of a group of people coming from different groups and projects (like Emancypunx, Ladyfest Warsaw, Lesbian Association, Grrlz Night and others) we started to create a feminist and queer culture center in Warsaw. Right now we are renovating the place. Our location is in the center of Warsaw: Marszałkowska 3/5 More news soon.

30.04.2008 - Noc Walpurgii. This festival is one of the biggest independent festivals in Poland and it's dedicated to promoting women activities in DIY scene, gender equality, fighting sexism and homophobia. The festival is organized since 1996 by Refuse Records and Emancypunx. We are already seeking for bands, artists etc for this years addition. Except the main festival day we will organize one or two more days with films, workshops and more.. Get in touch! We wait for your submissions!!!!

We are happy to announce that the CD record of THE RAZORBURNS! "Ouch!" is out! We are proud that The Razorburns decided to release their debut record on Emancypunx.
Razorburns comes from California USA and features musicians from such bands like Fabulous Disaster, Girlush Figure, The Maids, Teenage Harlets or The Dread. Their music is the pop laden, punk based,
brainwashing. Their recordwas mixed, engineered, and produced by Jack Endino (Nirvana, Mudhoney, L7) at Soundhouse Studios in Seattle.
Another releases of Emancypunx will be: BRUISE VIOLET 7"EP, FABULOUS DISASTER/BAMBIX LP/CD, KAOS KLITORIANO and new 7"EP of BEYOND PINK!
BEYOND PINK recorded new songs for a 7"EP, which will be released by Emancypunx on a winyl EP in Contraszt! Records from Germany. That is not allthese girls from Malmo plan to record in summer another full lenght for Emancypunx Records!
Emancypunx is involved in the new collective called Kvir Sfera. Our collective plan to organize several events this year related to feminist and queer issues. Also based on that collective we registered a foundation which aim is to promote art & culture. More details soon!!!!

In the summer Emancypunx mail-order & records had a small break, but now we're back with a lot of good news which you can read below.

Now up to the news:
- The debut 7"EP of the Argentinean positive old school hardcore band TRUST - "Hardcore Girls" is now available with a regular cover. Still a few copies with the limited cover are available (100 limited copies were released total). The first 500 are on transparent vinyl!
- We're proud to announce that soon we'll have new awesome releases! Check these bands out, so you'll now why we're saying that...
In January we'll release CD of the melodic Californian pop punk band THE RAZORBURNS "Ouch!", with band members of Fabulous Disaster, Girlush Figure, The Dread. The Maids and others.

- DAISY CHAIN recorded new songs. They will be released on LP by a German record label.
- MAKILADORAS unfortunately Split up after their tour in Poland. Their last show was at the Thrash fest In the Netherlands. Their singer plays now in the girl band LINK.
- MASS-KOTKI after a short break, player a lot of show and some festivals (for instant FEVER in Vienna). They also work on new songs which will be released on their next full lenght CD.

There is finally an actual mailorder list so check it out.
Emancypunx together with the Lesbian Coalition (LBT) started
a new festival called KVIR SVERA. The main festival will start in automn and will happen in Warsaw, Wroclaw and Poznan.
We plan to do it on regular basis and we'll be happy to know about all LGBTQ artictic projects, which you would like to present on our festival in future.
Our first event will be the "Border Fuckers" performance by Jet Moon and Sal Tomcat (UK) at the 11.06 (Tomba, Tomba club) during the Days of Equality in Warsaw performance group from UK.

With 14 shows MAKILADORAS played the probably longest tour a foreign punk band ever played in Poland. Unfortunately they decided to split up after. So MAKILADORAS is no longer.
BEYOND PINK LP was played at Maximum Rock'n Roll as one of the best records of 2005. We're proud of you girls!

NOC WALPURGII FESTIVAL, 10th YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!
At the end of April we'll celebrate 10 years of NOC WALPURGII Festival (Valpurgi's Night) in Warszawa, Poland: 29,30.04 and 1.05.2006.
Because of that special occasion we decided to organize a 3 days festival with workshops, films, D-Janes, concerts and much more.
Ourspecial guest will be CHRIS REGN from the womens archive Bildwechsel and GREG BENNICK who will come directly from the US to make workshop, spoken word, juggling and to show his movie "Flight From Death".

- NEW RECORDS out on Emancypunx are TRUST "Hardcore Girls" 7"ep and the compilation CD "Girls Can Dish It Out Too!". Release date was for Ladyfest Warsaw in December 2005.
Another released record on Emancypunx is the latest 12" of MAKILADORAS from the Netherlands. It's co-released with several other labels.
- TRUST played a small tour in Brazil including Verdurada Festival in Sao Paulo. Songs of Trust appeared on a compilation called "They Came For Your Milk Money" with The Say Goodbye, The First Step, Kill Your Idols, The Geeks and Insted! This CD has been released on a new label of members of the legendary Insted from California, New Music Revolution Records.
- MAKILADORAS played lately a14 days tour in Poland! They had a great response on every show. We organized for them the show in Warsaw.

BEYOND PINK "Jedan Dva, Jebla Te Ja" LP OUT NOW!!!
BEYOND PINK is an all female band from Sweden and after their debut "Cunt-oh-licious" 7" on Cunts On Discount Rec and Lipstick MachinegunRec, they're back with brand new release: full length LP release on Emancypunx Records called "Jedan dva jebla te ja". It contains 12 songs of fast raging angry hardcore with some melodies and tempo changes fronted by two vocalists. This is definitely something for all those into fast hardcore, as well as riot grrrls sounds and tradition of the 80's swedish hc/punk. Their music reflects how wide influences they have and it makes their music powerful and kicking. Lyrics of BEYOND PINK are alongside with the music, they reflect anger and critical views on issues like macho/sexistculture, violent dancing, cops, pro-life fundemantalists or corporate capitalism and their financial institutions like WTO and G8. "Jedan Dva, Jebla Te Ja" LP contains 20pgs booklet with lyrics of the band and pics. One out of the 12 songs on the LP is a Misfits cover song. There's limited to 120 copies out of first press of vinyl available, only through mailorder.
BEYOND PINK played many shows around Sweden in past few months with
bands like Champion, Mental, Slapshot, Some Kind Of Hate,Vicious Irene, Martydod and many others. They played also outside of Sweden - in Denmark and Poland (at the "Noc Walpurgii" Festival ). JIHEART "Jiheart" MCD - BELARUS STRAIGHT EDGE!
JIHEART MCD is already out as well. This band is a first straight edge band hardcore band ever coming from Belarus. They're very commited in the DIY hardcore punk scene in their country. Music of this female fronted hardcore band is based on traditional fast old school hardcore with strongly emotional feel. Their lyrics are very political as political is living in a authoritarian, non-democratic country like Belarus is, with censorship and state control on their backs. They're critical towards Belarusian reality and political climate, imperial wars, (state) terrorism and more. "Jiheart" MCD contains 7 songs in their native language (english translations are provided). DAISY CHAIN "Daisy Chain" CD OUT!
DAISY CHAIN music is based on the tradition of female-fronted punk rock from the late seventies and early eighties. In their sound you can hear their inspiration of UK influences punkrock legends like X-Ray Spex or Vice Squad and their own tradition. Daisy Chain are 3girls: Eddy, Moni, Molle and Steffen. All of them active in their local scene since ages and coming from wellknown punk areas like KreuzbergandPrenzlauerberg in Berlin/Germany. If you like powerful female vocals, a true, pissed off, but political "fuck you to society norms" attitude you will like them for sure. Their lyrics are about punk rock life, smashing cop cars and being yourself. "Daisy Chain" CD contains 14 songs (w/ Human League coversong). LP version is available on Attack Punk Records in Germany. MASS KOTKI "Chodz Zobaczyc" CD OUT!
One of the very all female bands coming from Poland. MASS KOTKI sounds different than most of the releases on Emancypunx Records. Their guitar/keyboard player Katiusza used to be in some others bands in the past 10 years like Pieklo Kobiet or Silikonfest. Lady Electra the other musician, had a well known electro project before. Mass Kotki is a catchy and melodic poppy electro-punk with some Chicks On Speed influences and early 80's Polish Pop. Their lyrics are funny and critical, taking issues like personal and political issues with strongly pro-women and pro-feminist stance. "Chodz Zobaczyc" CD contains 14 songs and bonus video clip to the song "Brutalny erotyzm". It makes you dancing around your room! This is great female fronted raging political hardcore punk band from Holland, with strong influences coming from anarchopunk, some crust and metal. This band is well known in whole Europe, touring a lot and having 10" and a split 7" w/ Radio Bikini already out. Members of the band are active since years and known from many other bands, projects etc. MAKILADORAS played recently at Thrashfest in Holland. Their full length LP will be released as a international co-release with some other labels, and Emancypunx Rec proudly taking part in this project!

TRUST 7"EP, TRUST EUROPEAN TOUR SOON!!
One of the upcoming releases on Emancypunx Records is TRUST 7"EP - kicking all-girl fast and positive old school hardcore from Argentina! TRUST is a new band of some members of Argentinian straight edge band Venus Genetrixxx, known from "xThe Sisterhoodx" comp. 7". Next Ladyfest Warszawa planned on December this year, more soon!
Next Noc Walpurgii Festival ("Valpurgi's Night") is gonna be on 30.04.2006. in Warszawa, Poland, and it will be 10th year anniversary of the fest. We want to prepare something special on this date. Any all-girl, female fronted, queer and antisexist/antihomophobic bands interested playing on the fest please get in touch. Also all the artists, performers, dj'anes and anyone interested in participation! Last edition taken place with 800 participants and great atmosphere. There's a need to support such events in Poland now more than ever, in a times when political climate in Poland becoming more and more nationalist and extreme right wing with so many homophobic and anti-gay/anti-lesbian feelings and incidents, taking away civil rights, violent attacks on gay/lesbian marches by nationalist, nazi, right wing and hooligans supported by authorities and politicians, anti-feminist/anti-women propaganda and censorship on art. We need to ask for strong international support and solidar

Hi Grrrlz and Bois!
here are coming some news for you.
Emancypunxrecords is busy as usual. New records are released like the
document of the walpurgisnight festival or the tape of latest
Discarga CD/LP "Sem Remorso".
The walpurgisfestival in April did kick ass as always. Something around 700-800
people joined the festival and had fun until the morning.
Also the last show organised by emancypunxrecords together with
Refuse, where a good one. All bands from Poland (X's always win,
Shackled Down, Hundred Inch Shadow, Antidotum, Apatia) played very well and I think we can be proud to have so great bands in that country!
Ratos de Porao also played a really good show, even the bas player Junino (also a member of Point of No return and Discarga) didn't feel well. He managed to play a awesome show for at least 1 hour. Respect!
A absolute great information is that there will be the first polish
Ladyfest at the 12-14.11.2004 hold in Warsaw.
The program is interesting and it includes workshops, a conference on
art, concerts, performance, theatre, spoken word, d-janes...
So if you have time take a rest and come over to Warsaw!
Among other women artist we invited Hanin Elias (ex Atari Teenage Riot), Kevin Blechdom and Heidi Mortenson for the festival day.
In Decembers there will be also ladyfest Lodz. So keep this in mind if
you would like to visit other towns in Poland.
So now up to the record label news. In the next moths we gonna release
the LP/CD of a amazing Swedish band called Beyond Pink. This band coming from Helsingborg plays a powerful mixture of hardcore and

Another release coning out soon will be a compilation of female
fronted and all-girl bands perared in cooperation with Keith
Grave/Dagger Promotions USA called "Girls can dish it out too". The
compilation will include bands from the USA, Europe and Japan such as
Mind of Asian, All or Nothing, Lorena & the Bobbits and others.
Thanks to all the bands taking part in that project.
Another release coming out soon is a CD version of the latest LP of
the really good band from Berlin called Daisy Chain. Daisy Chain
plays good punkrock in the tradition of female-fronted punk bands from
the seventies. If you like that kind of music this band is for sure
worth of your attention.
So you can see it's a busy time for our record label.
