RADICAL CHEERLEADERS ANTI WAR

This Saturday, at 7 p.m. on Zamkowy place we are going to have a small anti war action/happening.
Our action is to express our deep resistance towards actual global politics which lead to war in Iraq. We solidify with millions around the world, who by different forms of protest show their devotion to peace and freedom, because we also can not understand how war can be the best way to peace! We don`t support Bush or Hussein. They both use politics of oppression, violence and intimidation, and don`t care about human rights. American propaganda, which shows war in Iraq as fair war is a proof of pure hypocrisy. There are no fair wars!!! Each armed conflict means suffering of civilians and leaves enormous destruction.
We do not agree for speaking about refreshing economic results of war, when the main thing is that war takes away thousand of lives. It`s not the first time when United States want to reach Iraq`s oil. We also consider as unmoral the American pseudo-humanitarian action "food for oil". How can oil be recalculated to food which is needed to exist, needed for life?!! Other examples of cynical economic attitude are the discussions on contracts concerning the rebuild of Iraq from war destructions, long before their existence!!! Another market made on war? It`s terrifying!!!
We also feel indignant about media`s behavior, who searching for sensation behaves as cemetery hyenas. The dramatic events of war, for medias potentates only counts as a way to increase the ratings, and by most of journalists and photo reporters is treated as a great way to promote themselves and occupational compliance. Our action also has anti medial character. By hiding our faces we want to show that we are not important here, but the problems that we want to point out. This announcement is also to prevent manipulations of our statement.
We didn`t legalize our action, because we don`t agree with the fact that we have to ask for permission to protest. In our cheers we don`t use polite words. Exaggerated rhetoric is the domain of the hypocritical world of politic and economic elites, and we don`t want to have anything in common with it!
War is not a chance for political carrier, for great commercial contract or winning World Press Photo - it`s the authentic human tragedy, and our common duty is to stop it!
